Location: Washington, DC | 4 days onsite, 1 day remote

Aspen Careers is partnering with a nonprofit healthcare organization serving active duty military families and veterans, during a period of rapid growth and transformation. This is a high-impact opportunity to step into a Director-level Office Administrator role supporting a leadership team driving major expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage regulatory filing deadlines and ensure compliance across multiple business lines
- Coordinate across departments including health plan, programs, and fiscal sponsorship operations
- Track, manage, and follow up on key initiatives and action items across leadership
- Serve as a central operational hub ensuring priorities move forward efficiently
- Support executive leadership with high-level administrative and operational needs
- Maintain strong communication across internal stakeholders and ensure accountability
- Potentially manage and mentor a junior administrator (including future expansion)
The Ideal Candidate:
- 8–10 years of administrative or operation managerial experience (high-pressure environment preferred)
- Highly detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through and deadline management
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset — someone who “owns” problems through completion
- Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Strong communication skills with a direct, no-nonsense approach
- Ability to operate at a fast pace with high standards of professionalism
- Military background preferred (especially enlisted)
- Government or regulatory experience is a plus
