Retail Sales Associate

Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-sufficient, and creative Full-Time Sales Associate to join our retail store that specializes in women's and men’s fashion/accessories and pet accessories. This individual will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, creating visually appealing merchandise displays, and ensuring the smooth daily operation of the store. The ideal candidate will have successful retail experience, a passion for fashion and a strong ability to work independently. Additionally, social media capabilities will be a plus, as the associate will help promote the store through online channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors, ensuring they have a positive and welcoming experience. Assist customers in selecting products and offer knowledgeable recommendations based on their needs and preferences.
• Sales: Actively engage with customers to meet sales targets, upsell products, and build repeat customer relationships. Handle customer transactions, process payments, and manage point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of all products, including fashion, accessories, and pet products, to confidently share details with customers and answer inquiries.
• Merchandising: Creatively design and maintain product displays and store layout to ensure a visually appealing shopping experience. Regularly rotate merchandise to highlight new arrivals, promotions, and seasonal items.
• Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, and report low stock or damaged items. Ensure that the store is well-stocked and organized at all times.
• Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean, tidy, and organized, including restocking shelves, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring products are properly displayed.
• Social Media Support: Assist with promoting the store and its products through social media channels. Regularly post updates, product features, and promotions to engage customers and increase store visibility.
• Problem-Solving: Handle customer complaints and issues promptly, using creativity and resourcefulness to find solutions. Ensure the store runs smoothly by troubleshooting operational or logistical problems as they arise.
• Collaboration: While working independently, collaborate with the sister stores teams to ensure cross-promotional opportunities and smooth customer service experiences between the stores.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous retail experience in fashion, jewelry, or accessories. Experience in working independently and managing store operations is highly desired.
• Customer Service: Impeccable customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and positive environment for all customers.
• Independence: Self-motivated and able to handle day-to-day responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Creativity: Strong visual merchandising skills and a flair for creating unique and attractive product displays.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and resolve customer issues or operational challenges effectively.
• Social Media Skills (Preferred): Knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and an ability to create engaging posts to promote the store and its products.
• Interest in Fashion: Passion for or interest in women's and men's fashion, accessories, and pet products is essential for success in this role.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry products up to 25 lbs.
• Regular bending, stretching, and reaching for merchandise.

Additional Information:

• Work Schedule: 32-40 hours a week with some flexibility in scheduling. Saturdays and holidays are required, as this is a retail position.
• Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience. Additional benefits may be discussed during the interview process.
