Aspen Acres is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. We are seeking someone who is caring, compassionate and a team player, flexible in any situation.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Care:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Be active participants in life enrichment and social activities with the residents.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health status.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights, requests for assistance and emergencies.
- Active in responding to needs of residents, families, team members and other members of our community. Our caregivers are representatives of our communities.
Safety and Security:
- Conduct regular safety checks and rounds to ensure a secure environment.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized living space.
- Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Documentation:
- Accurately document care provided and any notable changes in residents’ conditions.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members, residents, and their families.
- Assist in coordinating care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Experience:
- Previous caregiving experience in an assisted living or similar environment preferred.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
Certifications:
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents using proper lifting techniques.
- Capability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Experience:
- Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
Shift availability:
- Overnight Shift (Preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Hayward, WI 54843 (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
