What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freelance Videographer: Ongoing Short-Form Content position at aspectLED?
Location: On-site in aspectLED office
Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor
Schedule: Recurring, approximately 1–2 filming sessions per month
aspectLED is looking for a freelance videographer/content creator to partner with us on an ongoing basis to produce consistent, high-quality short-form video content.
We're not looking for a one-time video project. We want to establish a regular filming cadence where you come into our office to batch-create content that we can use across social media, paid advertising, our website, and other marketing channels.
What You'll Do
You'll work with our internal marketing team to turn planned content ideas into engaging videos. Projects may include:
- Short-form social videos and Reels
- Product demonstrations
- Installation tips and how-to content
- Product comparisons and education
- Employee/expert-led videos
- Behind-the-scenes content
- Paid social/video ad creative
- Longer videos when appropriate
Our goal is to batch film multiple pieces of content during each session so we can maintain a consistent publishing schedule without constantly coordinating individual shoots.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience shooting short-form, social-first video
- Understands how to capture strong hooks and attention quickly
- Can make technical/product content feel approachable and interesting
- Is comfortable directing employees who aren't professional on-camera talent
- Can work efficiently and capture multiple concepts during a shoot
- Understands lighting, audio, framing, and basic production
- Can edit content into polished, platform-ready videos
- Is comfortable working collaboratively with an internal marketing team
Experience creating content for products, home improvement, construction, electrical, trades, ecommerce, or B2B brands is a plus.
How We'd Like to Work
Our marketing team will own the broader content strategy and help develop topics, priorities, and messaging.
We're looking for a creative partner who can help us turn those ideas into great video, including recommendations on how concepts should be shot, structured, and edited.
Compensation & To Apply
This is a freelance, independent-contractor opportunity with recurring project-based work. We anticipate approximately 1–2 on-site filming sessions per month, although the scope and frequency may vary based on content needs.
The posted rate of $750–$1,250 per filming day is intended to cover the full content production process, including filming, production, editing, and post-production. We're open to different pricing structures depending on the scope and volume of content.
