What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local Host Family Recruiter and Exchange Student Mentor position at Aspect Foundation?
We are immediately seeking individuals for the International Coordinator (IC) position who have experience in youth exchange, working with teenagers, and/or are willing to be trained.

Aspect Foundation is a non-profit organization that has been leading the way in high school international exchange for 40 years! You'll be our superhero in finding incredible volunteer host families in your local schools and surrounding communities who are eager to open their hearts and homes to high school exchange students from over 50 countries.
About the Job:
- Training You will have access to training and online resources 24/7 to enable to you succeed in this position.
- Set your own hours and fit the role around your everyday schedule.
- Work from home or get out into the community - it's up to you.
- Set your own goals and decide how many students/families you want to work with. We offer travel perks if you meet certain recruitment milestones, but there are no quotas you are required to meet.
- Meet people from other countries and get to know different cultures, make connections across the globe and in your local community and help make dreams come true.
Basic requirements to apply:
- age 25 or older
- authorized to work in the USA
- submit and pass a criminal background check
- have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- own a computer/tablet with Wi-Fi connectivity and have basic computer skills
Successful Candidates have/are:
- An enthusiastic and caring disposition
- Excellent communicators with great people skills
- An interest in foreign cultures, customs, languages, and food
- Networking skills & are approachable
- Enjoy working with youth between 15 and 18 years of age
- Time to promote the hosting opportunity in the local area a few hours a week
- Responsible with attention to detail and good follow-through
- Able to work with all people in a friendly, professional manner
- Creative, Patient, Persistent, and Objective
- Strong social skills and the ability to problem-solve
- Experience in conflict resolution and/or willingness to learn
