Job Title: Swimming Pool Equipment & Construction Technician
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Swimming Pool Equipment & Construction Technician to join our team. This position involves installing, repairing, and replacing swimming pool equipment, performing renovations, and assisting with construction projects for residential and commercial pools. The ideal candidate has experience with pool systems, basic plumbing and electrical work, and enjoys working outdoors in a physically demanding environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, automation systems, and lighting.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and plumbing issues.
- Perform pool renovations, including vinyl liner replacements, stair replacements, concrete deck repairs, and equipment pad upgrades.
- Install plumbing lines, valves, and fittings for pool circulation systems.
- Assist with excavation, concrete work, and other construction-related tasks.
- Read and follow project plans, specifications, and work orders.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding project progress.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in swimming pool construction, service, or equipment installation preferred.
- Knowledge of pool plumbing, hydraulics, and equipment operation.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems related to pool equipment.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with vinyl liner pools.
- Concrete finishing and demolition experience.
- PVC plumbing and equipment pad installation.
- Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or other construction equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
