Introduction to the Job

As a Factory Quality Engineer, you will help ensure the quality and reliability of the technology that powers ASML’s advanced lithography systems. Your work will directly support the manufacturing of products that enable the world’s most advanced microchips. In this role, you will drive quality improvements, solve complex manufacturing challenges, and work across teams to strengthen processes that support consistent operational excellence.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Factory Quality Engineer, you will serve as a key quality partner within the manufacturing organization. You will lead investigations, identify improvement opportunities, and help create sustainable solutions that improve product and process quality.

  • Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
  • Analyze process performance data and recommend improvements to increase stability and product quality.
  • Conduct measurement system evaluations and support improvements to measurement accuracy and reliability.
  • Lead quality reviews and facilitate discussions that drive resolution of complex manufacturing issues.
  • Maintain risk assessments and update quality documentation based on process changes and lessons learned.
  • Support quality audits, assessments, and compliance activities while ensuring timely closure of identified gaps.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supplier quality, and other stakeholders to improve operational performance.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, optical engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a related technical field.
  • 2 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or relevant internship experience with a master’s degree.
  • Experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, process engineering, or a related technical environment.
  • Experience using statistical analysis methods, quality management systems, and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of process control, failure analysis, risk assessment methodologies, and data analysis tools.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
