Fuel Commodities Manager
Location: Medina, MN | Full-Time | Operations Department
ASM Group is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Fuel Commodities Manager to lead and optimize our company's fueling program. This role manages vendor relationships, negotiates fuel contracts, analyzes market trends, and drives cost-saving strategies that support fleet operations and company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the company's fuel program for reliability, compliance, and efficiency.
- Source, negotiate, and manage fuel supplier contracts and performance.
- Monitor fuel pricing and commodity trends; recommend purchasing and hedging strategies.
- Track fuel usage, spending, and vendor KPIs; provide insights to leadership.
- Forecast fuel demand and coordinate deliveries with internal teams.
- Lead risk mitigation efforts related to pricing, supply, and vendor capacity.
- Supervise, train, and develop department staff.
Qualifications
- 5 years in fuel management, commodities, procurement, or logistics.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Supervisory experience required.
- Strong negotiation, communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Solid understanding of fuel markets, pricing mechanisms, and supply chain dynamics.
