What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ticket Seller position at ASM Global?
SUMMARY: Sell tickets for events. Provide excellent customer service. This is a causal part-time job based on events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process oral and written requests for tickets to various events
- View and enter ticket information to create requested ticket
- Assist customers in obtaining tickets and information
- Balance cash drawer at close of shift
- Maintain and update event maps
- Answer the telephone and provide requested event information
- Provide excellent customer service and always maintain a courteous and professional demeanor
- Exercise restraint and patience when dealing with a disruptive patron
- Other duties may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Must be at least 18 years old- HS Diploma or GED required
- Six (6) months prior customer service experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be personable and pro-active in providing assistance to all patrons and staff
- Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others
- Must have professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
- Must be fluent in English
- Able to see and read small sized text on tickets (paper and electronic)
- Must be able to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays as well as during normal business hours

- Use hands to handle and count coins and currency
- See and read small print
- May be required to move around the facility, climbing stairs, walking, and standing or sitting for an entire shift
