Under general supervision, schedules and coordinates maintenance of client computers, cable structure, inventory control, and telephone installation. This position is responsible for installation and maintenance of hardware, software, and peripherals for technology functions on a day-to-day basis. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist with inventory of all equipment Provide Help Desk Support for Windows 10, 11 and various programs Provide assistance with Office 365 user creation and license assigning Patching and terminating Cat 6 Install computers and phones as needed for users Running and connecting network cables to vendors/exhibitors’ booths Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, holidays, and weekends as needed Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities None Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Associates degree from an accredited college or university and two years related experience and/or training or equivalent professional work experience preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations CompTIA A preferred Skills and Abilities Excellent organizational, planning, communication & inter-personal skills. Ability to undertake & complete multiple tasks with little direction or supervision Compare and/or judge the readily observable, functional, structural, or composite characteristics (whether similar to or divergent from obvious standards) of data, people or things. Follow technical instructions (i.e.: common IT related acronyms) Follow explicit oral and written instructions; communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur. Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment. Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Ability to effectively work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines. Must be detail oriented and possess excellent follow-through skills. Demonstrate exceptional skills in customer service and effective communications with guests and employees. Possess knowledge and experience in industry terminology, event related services, facility capabilities, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility. Possess an understanding of facility’s electrical, mechanical, and other systems. Read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and other related materials. Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur. Computer Skills Operate a personal computer using Windows, Office and other standard office equipment. Expert proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications Proficiency in desktop support and running patch cables Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy configuration Have experience or be familiar with Windows 10, 11 Have experience or be familiar with Cisco network gear such as switches, routers, firewalls Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed for events. Have the physical ability to lift, push, pull and or move and re-position a minimum of 50 pounds generally in the form of computers, monitors, servers and other related hardware. Have dexterity in the use of fingers, limbs or body to operate shop or other office related equipment including tasks that may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard. May spend long hours walking, standing, or sitting while working. Be able to climb and work at extreme heights in both facilities for long periods of time.
