Bartender - Baxter Arena

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. -Be responsible for mixing drinks to order and serving the guests -Be responsible for having knowledge of all bar drinks and wines Qualifications -Strong verbal communication; personable and guest service driven -Self-motivated with Professional demeanor -Pass a short bartending test -Must have good customer service skills and the ability to develop and enhance guest loyalty -Must follow all SMG-SAVOR policies and procedures -Availability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays Education and/or Experience -Previous bartending experience preferred -Must be at least 19 years of age -Must be able to pass a credit check Knowledge, Skills and Abilities -Excellent guest service skills: ability to adhere to Universal Service Standards of proper grooming and appearance. -Must have basic math skills; ability to count change and balance bank -Ability to complete required pre-employment food and alcohol service training -Effective communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and receive orders -Highly motivated, ability to take initiative, effectively work with others and work in a fast-paced environment Physical Demands -Ability to stand and remain stationary for the entire length of shift -Constant standing, bending, reaching and repetitive motions -Frequent lift, push or pull items and objects weighing up to 50 lbs Working Conditions -May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold, depending on season -Moderate to extreme exposure to noise during events -May be exposed to vibrations caused by extreme noise during events -May be exposed to strobe lights/lasers during events -May be exposed to chemicals when cleaning locations Note The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
