Overview
RDNC is seeking a motivated and passionate Clinical Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join our team at a leading inpatient rehabilitation hospital. This role is ideal for a dietitian looking for flexibility, meaningful patient interaction, and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic interdisciplinary care team.
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: 12–15 hours per week
- Flexibility: Choose the days and times that best fit your schedule
- Compensation: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Additional Perks: Travel time is compensated at the same hourly rate, in addition to onsite working hours
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients at nutritional risk, following facility protocols and evidence-based guidelines
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans to support recovery and optimize patient outcomes
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and families, focusing on disease management, recovery, and reducing risk of readmission
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the care team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
- Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant within the electronic medical record system
- Monitor patient progress through labs, weight trends, and clinical status to adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and serve as a nutrition resource for hospital staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program
- Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Current/active state dietitian license (or eligibility)
- 1–3 years of recent clinical experience in acute care or rehab hospital settings (required)
- Experience with enteral/parenteral nutrition strongly preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while thriving in an interdisciplinary team environment
