Position Overview
We are seeking a senior engineering leader to manage and technically guide a high-performing Analog and Mixed-Signal IC design team. This role combines people leadership, hands-on technical direction, architecture ownership, and cross-functional execution for advanced semiconductor products used in high-speed connectivity and communications applications.
The ideal candidate has deep experience leading analog, mixed-signal, and/or RF IC design teams, with a strong track record of successful tape-outs, productization, and customer-facing technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership for advanced analog and mixed-signal IC design programs.
- Drive technical strategy, architecture decisions, design roadmaps, and execution plans across distributed engineering teams.
- Work closely with IC designers, system architects, and digital teams to develop high-performance circuits for next-generation semiconductor products.
- Translate system and product requirements into block-level design specifications and implementation plans.
- Lead design reviews, technical tradeoff discussions, risk assessments, and execution checkpoints.
- Build, mentor, and develop a strong team of analog, mixed-signal, and RF IC designers.
- Recruit top engineering talent and help create a high-performance, innovation-driven culture.
- Manage performance, career development, succession planning, and technical growth for team members.
- Partner with system engineering, digital design, CAD, technology, and product teams to improve design flows, methodologies, and execution efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal support teams to improve productivity, quality, and schedule predictability.
- Interface with customers and internal stakeholders during product development, validation, and production release phases.
- Represent the design organization in senior-level technical and business discussions.
- Oversee IC development from concept through tape-out, validation, and release to production.
- Ensure strong execution against quality, manufacturability, performance, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement in design processes, methodology, and team capability.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in analog, mixed-signal, and/or RF IC design.
- Proven track record of successful IC tape-outs and product releases.
- Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal design principles, including high-speed and high-performance circuit design.
- Hands-on experience with advanced CMOS process technologies.
- Demonstrated success managing, mentoring, and developing engineering teams.
- Strong technical judgment with the ability to make architecture and implementation decisions.
- Experience working across system, digital, CAD, validation, product, and operations teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to present technical topics to executives, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience managing strategic initiatives and complex engineering programs.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and execution skills.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across organizational boundaries.

Education and Experience
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 11 years of relevant experience, or
- MS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 9 years of relevant experience, or
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field with 6 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Background
- Experience leading teams developing advanced analog, mixed-signal, or RF ICs for communications, connectivity, data infrastructure, networking, optical, or high-speed interface applications.
- Experience with high-speed signal path design, receiver/transmitter circuits, data converters, clocking, equalization, or related mixed-signal blocks.
- Prior experience in both technical leadership and people management roles.
