A Brief Overview

ASICS is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Communications Specialist to join our Marketing, PR & Communications team. This role will be instrumental in supporting the communications efforts for our Core Performance Sports categories (including tennis, volleyball and wrestling), along with internal communications, community partnerships, recapping and department budget and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, a deep understanding of the media landscape, exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and strong writing skills.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute comprehensive communications campaigns for all the CPS categories to promote ASICS products, athletes, sponsorships, and brand initiatives.
• Media outreach and content for CPS categories (wrestling, volleyball, tennis) to drive campaign and product awareness to enhance partnerships and build programs to drive brand visibility and media coverage.
• Develop internal communications plans to support key initiatives, run point on brand calendar and various ways to engage internally across offices and departments.
• Manage the LinkedIN for North American region, including brand calendar and posts.
• Support our ASICS community partners for product seeding, event support and logistics.
• Develop briefing materials for executives, athletes and partners.
• Provide administrative support to the communications team and budget management
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures

How You'll Be Successful

• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with key media contacts across print, digital, and broadcast outlets, particularly with CPS categories
• Skilled in securing earned media coverage for products, athletes, sponsorships, and brand initiatives
• Strong knowledge of brand messaging and positioning to craft compelling narratives about ASICS products and athletes
• Proficient in daily media monitoring and recap distribution to track coverage, measure impact, and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders
• Extremely strong attention to detail and ability to provide administrative support, including scheduling, budget tracking, and coordination of communications projects
• Ability to build, maintain, and update master media lists and databases to ensure ongoing, targeted communication with relevant outlets
  
  

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or an equivalent combination of experience, education,and training required
• 3-5 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media relations, preferably supporting consumer-facing brands in the sports, fitness, or lifestyle categories required
  
  

SALARY / PAY RANGE: Min: $63,000 Max: $70,000
