The Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining all aspects of the facility and grounds to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations while presenting a positive company image. Secondary responsibilities include supporting the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of material handling systems, plant equipment, and mobile equipment within the Distribution Center.

Secondary responsibilities include supporting the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of material handling systems, plant equipment, and mobile equipment within the Distribution Center.
Leadership Responsibilities
- This position does not have people leadership responsibilities.
- Support the Distribution Center by ensuring all departmental and plant equipment is functioning properly to facilitate employee safety and productivity.
- Perform preventive maintenance as directed on all assets.
- Repair and maintain all equipment and the building promoting a safe environment and ensuring the useful life of all physical assets.
- Assist in maintenance of parts inventory, auditing of performance of equipment and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on lift equipment, conveyors, plant equipment and minor repairs associated with electrical and plumbing
- Provide emergency and unscheduled minor repairs for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment (electrical, doors, lights, and offices)
- Perform routine daily inspection of the warehouse; Monitor and perform preventive maintenance of building and grounds
- Perform minor electrical repairs such as replacing lighting ballasts as needed
- Work with contracted HVAC, electrical and building equipment vendors during scheduled maintenance or repairs
- Assist with internal employee workstation or office moves
- Perform basic inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on powered industrial trucks, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.

- Manual dexterity required: Must be able to have manual dexterity required using hands to finger; handle, feel and type; reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to see, hear, speak and read in order to communicate with other employees and/or other customers.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb ladders, frequent lifting
- Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent work experience required
- 1-2 years Industrial maintenance experience in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment preferred
- 1-2 years experience in facility and grounds maintenance and upkeep preferred
- Experience with TGW, Hytrol and Roach high speed conveyors, warehouse sorting systems and various lift equipment preferred
- Knowledge of understanding of PLC operations preferred
- Knowledge of electrical controls including 480 and 230 volt circuits , pneumatics and hydraulics preferred
