About Us
Asian Family Market is a fast-growing Asian supermarket group in the Pacific Northwest. Our front end is the last stop for every customer — we need a manager who can keep lines moving, cash handling tight, and our team friendly.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily front-end operations (cashiers, courtesy/baggers, customer service counter).
- Create and manage cashier schedules to match busy hours.
- Train new cashiers on POS, item lookups, produce codes, payment policies, and customer service.
- Monitor cash handling, tills, and safe counts; investigate voids, refunds, and over/short.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe front entrance and checkout area.
- Handle customer issues and escalate to Store Manager when needed.
- Work closely with store leadership on promotions, membership/loyalty, and holiday traffic.
- Enforce company policies and loss prevention at the front end.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of supervisor or lead experience in grocery, retail, or restaurant.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable training and coaching a multilingual team (English/Chinese/Spanish a plus).
- Able to stand/walk for shift and work weekends/holidays as needed.
- Basic POS/cashier knowledge; able to learn our system quickly.
- Reliable, organized, and can handle a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
