Position Overview
The Inside Sales Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and converting new business opportunities. Working from our office environment, this individual will leverage phone, email, and digital outreach to build a robust pipeline of prospective customers, while also nurturing existing accounts to expand share of wallet. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a passion for sales, a consultative approach, and a genuine interest in the ingredients and raw materials space.
Key Responsibilities
• Proactively identify and prospect new business opportunities across the nutrition, pharmaceutical, pet health, and cosmetics sectors through outbound calls, emails, and research
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline; manage leads from initial outreach through qualification, quoting, and close
• Build strong relationships with new and existing customers, serving as a trusted resource for ingredient sourcing needs
• Collaborate with internal teams — including purchasing, customer service, and technical support — to deliver tailored solutions and competitive proposals
• Prepare and present product quotes, samples requests, and pricing based on customer requirements and company margin targets
• Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and inform sales strategy
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new business development targets and KPIs
• Represent AMG Ingredients professionally in all customer interactions, embodying the company's values and commitment to quality
Qualifications & Experience
• 3–5 years of inside sales, business development, or account management experience; B2B sales experience strongly preferred
• Background in or exposure to the nutrition, pharmaceutical, pet health, cosmetics, or specialty chemicals industries is a significant plus
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and developing new business from prospecting through close
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport quickly and engage decision-makers at all levels
• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage a high volume of outreach and follow-up
• Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Comfort with consultative selling; ability to understand customer needs and match them to the right product solutions
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or a related field preferred
