Data Center Senior Electrical Power Engineer
We are seeking an energetic Data Center Senior Facility Engineer (Electrical Power Engineer) to serve as a technical resource in data centers. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. The Data Center Facility Engineer is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical and HVAC equipment within the data center.
This role acts as front line when it comes to hands-on electrical equipment troubleshooting. They will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facility equipment including electrical support equipment such as stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, 3 phase electrical systems that include but not limited to switchgear, UPS units, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), and wet cell batteries and associated systems. Additional support equipment is included in the scope of the role which includes fire suppression systems, building automation systems, and general facilities equipment.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure. Ensure that all work performed within the space is done to high quality and without impact to internal/external customers.
- Create, review, and update Method of Procedures (MOPs) for routine maintenance tasks and equipment installations. Ensure MOPs adhere to industry best practices and safety standards.
- Lead incident response efforts to resolve facility-related issues, including power outages, cooling failures, and environmental alarms. Implement corrective actions swiftly to minimize downtime.
- Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams and drive them from conception to completion.
- Coordinates daily with a multitude of third-party vendors ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs
- Provide on-call support during off hours for the data centers in the region. This will include responding to any issues within the data centers and managing the investigation, mitigation, and recovery of the issue.
Basic Qualifications
- Must have at least a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience working in data centers with an emphasis on operation and maintenance in data center infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical systems, backup generators, and fire suppression systems.
- Understanding of the electrical involved in critical data center operations such as: feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) units, Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
- Fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin (preferred).

Pay: $70,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
