Marketing and Social Media Specialist

Overview:
The Marketing and Social Media Specialist is an integrated member of the APPS team. The perfect candidate is creative and knowledgeable on a variety of social media platforms, and is able to fluidly collaborate with providers, administrative staff, and marketing consultants who are assisting APPS in driving the surgical and medispa businesses.
As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing engaging content across various media platforms. You will work closely with the practice leadership team to create compelling visuals, videos, and written content that aligns with the brand's voice and objectives. Your role will involve strategizing, creating, scheduling, and analyzing content to drive audience engagement, brand awareness, and online growth.
This job requires someone who is personable and able to answer patient messages on social media about our services, pricing, and scheduling. In addition we are looking for someone with connections in the local influencer community on Instagram.
You should have a solid understanding of how social media works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. You are responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand (answering comments) and “soft selling” the product by providing support to current and prospective customers.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy: Help develop a comprehensive social media content strategy that aligns with the brand's goals, target audience, and industry trends.
- Content Creation: Create high-quality and engaging content in various formats, including text, images, videos, and infographics, for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube.
- Visual Design: use design tools to produce visually appealing content that reflects the brand's visual identity.
- Copywriting: Write compelling and concise copy for social media posts, captions, ads, and other promotional materials to engage and inspire the target audience.
- Content Scheduling: Schedule and publish content on social media platforms using social media management tools, ensuring consistency and optimal timing for maximum reach and engagement.
- Community Management: Monitor social media platforms, respond to comments, messages, and inquiries, and engage with the audience in a timely and professional manner.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze social media performance metrics, such as reach, engagement, follower growth, and conversions. Generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of content strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to incorporate innovative ideas into content creation.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and product, to align social media content with broader marketing initiatives and product launches.
- Brand Advocacy: Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all social media content is consistent with the brand's voice, values, and guidelines.
- Research topics and develop content for various platforms.
- Write engaging and informative content for websites, blogs, and other media outlets.
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy and clarity.
- Develop creative ideas for content campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Develop SEO-friendly content that is optimized for search engines.
- Assist with the development of printed materials
- Assists with website development and sales on Shopify
Hours/Location:M-F 9-5 in-office in Downtown Honolulu.
Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Two (2) years social media or other marketing experience or equivalent preferred. Proficiency in the following: Reels, Tik tok, Youtube video uploading, Instagram., Facebook, Shopify, and Flodesk newsletter platform or similar, preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
