Duties
- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare various types of meats using traditional butchery techniques and meat processing machines
- Operate slicing and meat cutting equipment safely and efficiently to produce consistent product portions
- Ensure all meat products meet quality standards through visual inspection for freshness, appearance, and safety compliance
- Package meat products accurately, labeling them clearly for retail sale while maintaining food safety sanitizing procedures
- Manage perishable goods by monitoring storage conditions, rotating stock, and minimizing waste
- Assist customers with their selections by providing knowledgeable advice on cuts, preparation methods, and cooking tips
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following strict food safety management protocols and sanitizing procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or retail store environments with a focus on meat processing or butchery
- Strong knife skills with the ability to perform precise meat cutting and slicing techniques
- Familiarity with meat processing machines and equipment operation in a safe manner
