Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and a passion for helping individuals and families navigate their challenges. This role involves providing support and guidance through various therapeutic techniques, case management, and community resources. The Social Worker will work with diverse populations, including children, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those experiencing mental health crises.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on behavioral health, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and crisis intervention.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and effective case management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including EMR systems and medical records management.
- Engage in clinical research and data collection to contribute to ongoing program development and improvement.
- Provide home and community care services as needed, ensuring clients receive appropriate support in their environments.
- Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system and connect them with necessary resources.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW or equivalent).
- Experience working with children, families, or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and clinical documentation standards.
- Strong skills in crisis management, patient assessment, intake processes, and diagnostic evaluation.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques including applied behavior analysis and group therapy facilitation.
- Experience in geriatrics or working with special populations such as individuals with autism or Alzheimer's care is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong organizational abilities.
