Purpose: Perform the assembly activities of ASI Drives.
Position Summary:
1. Assembly of Electromechanical gear drives and components
a. Produce drives in accordance with company policies and procedures
i. Assemble components
ii. Operate tools and equipment to assemble and test, drive systems
iii. Notify Line Leader and Shop Supervisor of problems
b. Ensure a clean and safe work area as outlined in “5S”
2. Inventory Activities
a. Ensure proper labeling and storage of parts.
b. Pull, as necessary, inventory for Assembly activities.
c. Perform cycle counting activities.
d. Report shortages to Line Leader / Shop Supervisor.
3. Housekeeping
a. Consolidation and disposal of trash and cardboard from the shop.
b. Ensure adequate tools and receptacles are available for housekeeping, notify the Shop Supervisor if items are needed.
4. Returns
a. Disassemble and repair returns as directed.
b. Document parts and time required for each job.
5. Perform any other activities or functions as may be necessary and directed by the Shop Supervisor or Director of Supply Chain
Requirements
1. High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred
2. Ability to read drawings or blueprints – a Plus
3. Able to effectively communicate with other members of the organization
4. Lift 50 pounds
5. No physical limitations
