Job Description
The Acquisition Support Specialist I will provide comprehensive assistance across the entire acquisition lifecycle, functioning as an expert advisor to supplement OPM’s internal procurement team. Responsibilities include monitoring contractor performance, tracking delivery schedules, managing administrative processing of invoices and contract funding status, and drafting documentation for contract modifications or option exercises. Specialists will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining operational efficiency.

Job Description
The Acquisition Support Specialist I will provide comprehensive assistance across the entire acquisition lifecycle, functioning as an expert advisor to supplement OPM’s internal procurement team. Specialists will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Review of Awards & Conduct market research and issue RFIs targeting socio-economic program participants.
- Prepare IGCEs and “Price Fair & Reasonable” determinations.
- Support award documentation including price negotiation memoranda and technical evaluation summaries.
- Perform burn rate reviews and process optimization audits.
- Analyze procurement workflows and recommend improvements.
- Bachelor's Degree 3 years of State or Federal Acquisition / Procurement experience.
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- Market research
- Award support
- Contract management
- (Business) System analysis
- Basic understanding and comprehension of the FAR.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with Hawaii University or similar institutions.
- Acquisition and Procurement experience in both the federal and state procurement levels and experienced with their unique regulations.
