About ASI: ASI, Division of Thermal Technologies, Inc., specializes in custom drying, curing, and cooling solutions for the converting, roll-to-roll, and continuous process industries. As an industry leader since 1986, our forced air convection systems employ a variety of web transport and heating methods, including air flotation, roll-support, through-air, belt supported, and infrared (IR) supplementary heat. Based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, all of our dryers are designed to meet the specific drying needs, control requirements, and spatial constraints of our customers.
Duties: ASI is seeking a qualified welder/fabricator to grow our manufacturing team. Responsibilities include:
· MIG structural and sheet metal welding to construct dryer, plenum, and ductwork frames and cladding
· Rivet, drill, cut, and grind metal for fabrication of drying equipment
· Read blueprints and job order specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, tooling, and welding instructions
· Verify conformance to blueprints and specifications utilizing precise measurements and levels
· Maintain a clean and organized work area and all equipment
· When needed, assist in machine department with press brake, band saw, plasma table, drill press, and shears
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED equivalent
· Welding course of study or welding experience
· Ability to read blueprints
· Above average mechanical aptitude
· Lift up to 70 lbs
· Frequent standing, bending and climbing
· Exceptional organizational skills
· Good oral communication skills
· Willingness to learn and take direction
· Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
· Reliable and dependable attendance
