EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATE I-9 MONTH – ATTENDANCE CLERK
Qualifications:
1. Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills.
2. Effective communication expertise.
3. Strong skill set with technology use including: Microsoft, Google, PowerSchool (or similar student information system), website management, and multi-line phone system.
4. Excellent organizational skills and recordkeeping ability.
5. Desire to work with students, parents, and community members within the office setting.
6. Under direction of the school nurse, ability to support students within the health room.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
8. Willingness and desire to learn and work collaboratively to support team goals.
9. Equivalent secretarial work experience is desirable; high school diploma required.
Reports To: Building Administrator or Designee
Job Goal: Under the direction of school administrator(s), performs secretarial duties that support the delivery of educational services and the effective management of building operations in the most efficient, effective, and courteous manner possible. This position will include a heavy emphasis on customer service - for parents, students, staff, community members and others. In addition, this position will be the lead on student attendance and will work closely with district nursing staff to support health room needs.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Provide caring and attentive service to all members of the learning community, proactively anticipate needs, and create best-in-class experiences for all guests. This position is often the first person guests interact with when contacting the school.
2. Maintain accurate attendance records for students.
3. Perform data entry and student record scanning/filing.
4. Prepare necessary reports and communication materials.
5. Listen to understand, interact thoughtfully, measure and influence the improvement of school communication streams through multiple means and methods between all key stakeholders.
6. Under direction of school nursing staff, provide support to students in the health room, including first aid, diabetic support, medication administration, and parent contact.
7. Supervise students who are in the office.
8. Oversee ordering and inventory of office supplies.
Terms: Nine month year. Wage and work year to be set by the board.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Ashwaubenon Educational Support Staff Employee Handbook.
