Role Overview
ASHWA 1, Inc. is a premier logistics partner for FedEx and a Ground Contracted Service Provider specializing in high-volume, last-mile delivery operations in the Round Rock area.
We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager Trainee / Logistics Manager to oversee seven-day dispatch operations, manage multiple delivery routes and vehicles, and ensure the timely and efficient delivery of packages to customers.
This is not just a desk job—it is a fast-paced, "boots-on-the-ground". It is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership position that requires strong field presence, operational discipline, and the ability to make decisions in real time. With demonstrated performance and experience, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to advance into a senior management role overseeing broader business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Support the Operations Manager and Business Contacts (BCs) in overseeing daily pickup and delivery operations.
Talent Pipeline Management
Lead the full lifecycle of driver management, including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and performance development.
Workforce Optimization
Prepare driver schedules, assign shifts, and develop contingency staffing plans to ensure full route coverage every day.
Fleet and Asset Management
Oversee vehicle readiness through preventive maintenance scheduling, coordination with repair vendors and mechanics, and rapid response to mechanical issues during operations.
Performance Analytics
Monitor route telematics and operational data in real time to ensure on-time performance, productivity targets, safety compliance, and service quality.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or Business Administration preferred.
Analytical Skillset
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with an interest in data-driven decision-making and operational improvement.
Experience
0–3 years of professional experience. We value candidates with a leadership mindset, strong accountability, and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.
Technical Proficiency
Advanced computer skills and the ability to quickly learn logistics software, dispatch platforms, telematics systems, and operational tools.
Resilience and Flexibility
Ability to work under pressure, make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment, and maintain flexibility, including weekend availability when required.
Location Requirement
Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Pflugerville or Round Rock, Texas.
Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s license required. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
