SUMMARY
Makes ready and operates multiunit, web-fed rotary press according to written specifications by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform manual and machine operator tasks in the set-up, maintenance, and operation of a uv offset printing press including preventive maintenance on the press, press wash up, selecting stock and mounting paper on press.
- Performs under supervision of Lead Press Operator the operation of the press to produce product that conforms to customer/company quality standards.
- Have experience with achieving a color match, image registration; adjusting ink keys, ink and water balance. Can troubleshoot problems associated those skills.
- Sets up, maintains, reworks and changes numbering machines accurately as/if necessary.
- Makes minor machine adjustments and performs minor maintenance.
- Performs an overall visual quality check of the printed material.
- Performs work in accordance with Ashton-Potter Quality Management System.
- Completes production, accountability, and quality reporting and related maintenance.
- Perform tasks safely and in accordance with Ashton Potter health and safety, attendance and other company policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Cleans, inspects, and lubricates moving parts of press.
