SCADA / PLC Controls Engineer
We are seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer with strong PLC programming experience to support and enhance a real-time monitoring and control environment.
This role focuses on designing, programming, commissioning, and supporting PLC systems that connect to a centralized SCADA platform. You will work on systems that monitor and control critical infrastructure in real time.
Responsibilities
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC systems in both development and field environments
- Commission and support PLCs at remote sites
- Support and expand SCADA system capabilities
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues with PLCs and related systems
- Assist with system design, development, and ongoing support
- Contribute to standardized communication between field devices and central systems
- Support system performance, reliability, and capacity planning
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with PLC programming, commissioning, and support
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex controls issues
- Willingness to travel to field locations approximately 20 percent
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with SCADA systems
- Experience with HMI systems
- Familiarity with PLC platforms such as Emerson, Rockwell Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols and networking
- Experience supporting field devices and control systems
