Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care in our skilled nursing home. This role involves assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications, injections, and other treatments following established protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patients' conditions closely, managing acute pain, and providing specialized care for individuals with dementia or developmental disabilities.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection, and processing to support accurate medical diagnoses.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with long-term care regulations and best practices.
- Educate patients and their families on health management strategies, including post-discharge instructions and medication administration.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, infection control policies, and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Participate in emergency response procedures such as first aid, airway management, and CPR during critical situations
- Qualifications
- Valid RN or LPN license with current registration in the applicable state or jurisdiction.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Experience working with geriatric patients in skilled nursing facilities or assisted living environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Skills in medication administration, catheterization, phlebotomy, and sterile processing procedures.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver communication.
Pay: $21.50 - $30.00 per hour
