Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive clinical background, demonstrating expertise in primary care, acute and chronic disease management, and patient-centered care delivery. The Family Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes through advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. The Island Park clinic is unique in it's patient set. Busier in the summer months with tourist traffic and a little slower in the winter months.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on diagnostic evaluations and patient needs.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions utilizing evidence-based practices, including pain management, infectious disease care, and geriatrics.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems - eClinicalWorks - to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently and timely.
- Provide health coaching and education to promote wellness, disease prevention, and management of complex health issues.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to extend access to care while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Idaho Family Nurse Practitioner license.
- Demonstrated experience in primary care settings with proficiency in medical documentation and CPT coding.
- Strong clinical skills including proficiency in suturing, phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, and basic life support certification.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
- Knowledge of pharmacology related to psychopharmacology, pain management, and medication administration protocols.
