The Senior Market Research Analyst supports ASHP’s mission to advocate for and advance the pharmacy profession by transforming data into insights that drive member engagement, program excellence, and organizational strategy. This individual will lead survey design and administration, manage complex data sets, perform advanced statistical analyses, and translate insights into compelling visual stories that communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is both technically proficient and strategically minded, with a strong background in research methods, data analytics, and visualization tools.

This is a hybrid position that requires candidates to live in the Washington, DC area and be present in the downtown Bethesda, Maryland office as needed. At ASHP, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. The base salary for this position is $94,800-$110,000 and ASHP offers a comprehensive benefits plan. Survey Design & Management

  • Lead the development and administration of surveys measuring member satisfaction, engagement, brand perception, or program outcomes.
  • Write clear, unbiased, and methodologically sound survey questions.
  • Manage the full life cycle of survey programs-from scoping and instrument design to fielding, data cleaning, and reporting.
  • Use ASHP’s Qualtrics survey platform for programming and deployment.


Data Analysis & Insights

  • Apply advanced statistical techniques (e.g., regression, segmentation, factor analysis, driver analysis) to derive actionable insights.
  • Integrate multiple data sources (survey, CRM, web analytics, operational data) for a 360° view of trends and behaviors.
  • Create dashboards and visual analytics using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Present findings in clear, executive-ready summaries that connect data to strategic decisions.


Collaboration & Consultation

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify research needs and design studies that answer key business questions.
  • Serve as an internal consultant on research methodologies and best practices.
  • Support organization-wide KPI tracking and performance reporting.
  • Stay current with emerging research methodologies and visualization techniques.
  • Recommend innovations in processes, data collection, analysis, and storytelling to enhance insights delivery
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Marketing Research, Social Science, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 7 years of experience in applied research, with emphasis on survey design, data analytics, and visualization.
  • Strong understanding of sampling, weighting, statistical testing, and data cleaning best practices.
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills; ability to convey complex findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated expertise with tools such as
    • Survey platforms Qualtrics, Alchemer, or SurveyMonkey.
    • Analytics SPSS, R, Python, or SAS.
    • Data visualization Tableau, Power BI, or Excel (advanced).
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills
  • Collaborative communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, membership, or healthcare environment a plus.

Salary : $94,800 - $110,000
