Our network of 4,000 Ashoka Fellows is successfully implementing system-changing solutions to human and environmental problems in almost every area of need, in over 100 countries. By learning from and collaborating with social entrepreneurs, we identify new architectures for society. This then enables everyone to live in the world as a changemaker. Ashoka believes that everyone should be enabled with the qualities that define a social entrepreneur and a changemaker. Ashoka is building and activating networks to create many fundamental changes, an early example of the chance is enabling every young person to have the life changing experience of their changemaking “first bicycle ride”.

The global framework change leader will grapple with such questions as: How do such big ideas catch on broadly across society? What can we learn from our extraordinary network of Ashoka Fellows about establishing new patterns and norms? How can we accelerate toward the Everyone A Changemaker world, prioritizing key skills such as conscious empathy-based ethics and collaborative leadership? Who must also be having this conversation with us and for us? To do so effectively, they must have led a pattern change or mindset shift of their own.

Elevate the profile of Ashoka and the ‘everyone a changemaker” movement working with continental and metro hubs, teams, partners, Fellows and other key actors recognizing the essential qualities of changemaking, including conscious empathy.
- Movement storytelling: Ability to write, speak, serve as spokesperson, and spread the message “everyone a changemaker” regionally and /globally creating a storytelling framework that encourages the sharing of stories that show, not just tell, the shift toward both youth and citizen agency, and "autonomy respecting" systems approach to solution development
- Movement Building and Marketing: Lead Ashoka’s efforts globally to build cohesive and leveraged approaches with movement partners to advance the big framework and of everyone a changemaker (EACH). Ensure Ashoka’s narrative leads with the vision and empowers internal teams and external partners. This is not a marketing and communications role – it is serving a big major frame change.
- Partnerships: Launch, nurture, and guide partnerships to include but not exclusive to corporates, unions, educators, publishers, digital media, new and evolving media, and others advancing the everyone a changemaker message and framework.
- Resource Development: Assist in stewarding and supporting existing relationships; identify new partners and raise funds.
The right candidate will have the skill and wisdom, 15 years of related experience to:
- Create a strategic movement bringing world framework change using a strategic movement’s communications architecture including social media, writing, storytelling, and speaking events.
- A pattern of identifying and addressing social issues, creating innovative solutions with system-changing or sector-wide impact.
- Identify opportunities to partner with aligned actors and elevate the level of awareness of Ashoka and the Everyone a Changemaker vision.
- Help build Ashoka's global marketing and communications capacity in a team of teams organizational structure.
- Demonstrated ability in innovative significant revenue & resource generation, major client/partner relationship management, resource mobilization, and balanced budget management.
- Ability to work with independent, entrepreneurial teams globally and external stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial Quality: Demonstrates a track record of taking creative initiative and ownership (e.g., founding an organization or company, starting a movement, or re-shaping the work of an existing organization).
