Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server/Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that each guest has a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Experience in fine dining or food service is preferred, along with strong customer service skills and knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable. The Server/Server will play a vital role in upholding our standards of food safety, sanitation, and guest relations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cashiering duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address guest inquiries professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant policies
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is preferred
- Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests courteously and professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Prior experience in roles such as host/host or bartender is a plus but not required
