Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and trailers to deliver products along designated routes.
- Load and unload nursery items using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety.
- Deliver plants, gardening supplies, and equipment to customers efficiently while providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist in maintaining inventory by organizing stock in the nursery areas, ensuring accurate stock counts.
- Support nursery crew activities such as moving plants, preparing orders, and maintaining the cleanliness of the work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols during driving, loading/unloading, and warehouse operations to prevent accidents or damage.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries and address any special requests or concerns.
Qualifications
- Prior delivery driver experience with route driving preferred; familiarity with full ton trucks and trailers or similar vehicles is a plus.
- Experience working in a nursery or agricultural environment is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly; comfortable moving plants and supplies manually or with equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
