What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute School Social Worker position at Ashmore Connection?
Job Overview:
Ashmore Connection is currently seeking an excellent School Social Worker for a full-time contract opportunity covering a leave of absence in the Lemont area next school year!
Duties:
- Organizes programs for students, parents and staff pertaining to child abuse, resource development, and educational issues.
- Acts as a liaison between students and district by administering conferences, home visits, and additional activities.
- Interviews students and relatives to obtain the student's historical information regarding medical, social, and emotional conditions.
- Maintains and updates records to ensure accurate information and data.
- Contacts state and local authorities for child abuse issues, student behavior problems, and any criminal activities concerning the student.
- Attends workshops and seminars to continue to improve skills and learn about current issues affecting students.
- Administers and/or supports state and local testing processes and policies.
- Assists administrators and other staff members in the orderly, expedient and safe transition of students from one location to another.
- Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours and as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator or their representative
Required:
- Active Illinois PEL with School Social Worker endorsement
- Experience as a School Social Worker
