Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our funeral home. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of bereavement support and the intricacies of funeral services. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a commitment to providing families with dignified and respectful services during their time of need.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of funeral home operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Provide bereavement support to families, guiding them through the planning process with empathy and professionalism.
- Oversee funeral directing activities, including coordinating services, managing logistics, and ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
- Plan and organize events related to memorial services, ensuring that each event reflects the wishes of the deceased and their family.
- Maintain sanitation standards within the facility, ensuring a clean and respectful environment for families and staff.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology in preparing remains for viewing and burial.
- Perform cosmetology tasks to enhance the appearance of the deceased as requested by families.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, particularly during transport or preparation of remains.
- Develop sales strategies to promote services offered by the funeral home while maintaining ethical standards.

Requirements
- Valid Utah Funeral Directors License or able to obtain one.
- Proven experience in funeral directing or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on empathy and support for grieving families.
- Familiarity with event planning processes to ensure seamless memorial services.
- Ability to perform sanitation tasks effectively in accordance with health regulations.
- Basic cosmetology skills are advantageous for preparing remains.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
