Landscaping Technician

Overview

Duties

• Pulling weeds and maintaining landscape beds
• Trimming and pruning trees, shrubs, and hedges
• Installing and transplanting trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscape plants
• Installing mulch, pine straw, rock, and other ground coverings
• Cleaning and defining landscape bed edges
• Assisting with landscape renovations and new installations
• Safely operating landscaping equipment and hand tools
• Loading, unloading, and transporting materials
• Following company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional job site
• Working efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality

Qualifications

• Prior landscaping experience is required
• Being comfortable driving a truck and trailer is preferred
• Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, lawn care equipment, and groundskeeping machinery confidently
• Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and irrigation systems is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment use
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive attitude towards teamwork and customer service
• Having your Tennessee Applicator License is not required, but preferred
