As Sales Manager, you'll partner closely with the Store Manager to inspire, develop, and lead our Retail Sales Associates while driving sales performance and operational excellence.
Lead and coach the sales team to achieve and exceed goals in:
- Sales Per Guest (SPG)
- Gross Margin
- Net Promoter Score (NPS)
- Guest Satisfaction Metrics
- Store Sales Objectives
• Maintain a strong presence on the sales floor, actively engaging guests and role-modeling Ashley's proven sales process.
• Develop and implement sales action plans that create accountability, improve performance, and support continued growth.
• Foster an engaging, competitive, and positive selling culture by recognizing achievements and developing talent.
• Serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Monitor staffing levels using traffic and conversion trends to maximize sales opportunities.
• Analyze sales, operational, and financial reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and ongoing training to help associates reach their full potential.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, merchandising standards, advertising initiatives, safety programs, and administrative processes.
• Support employee engagement through team meetings, one-on-one development discussions, and continuous learning opportunities.
Required Qualifications
✔ 2 years of retail sales experience
✔ Previous supervisory or management experience
✔ Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
✔ Financial acumen and business understanding
✔ Excellent communication and coaching abilities
✔ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
✔ Strong organizational and time-management skills
✔ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile technologies
Preferred
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Experience in furniture, home furnishings, or commissioned retail sales environments
Compensation: $60,000 – $100,000 annually
