Ashley Furniture is seeking a Senior Training Specialist to lead our Talent Management Programs and drive associate development across our organization. About the Role
As a Senior Training Specialist, you'll be the face of learning at your location, facilitating onboarding programs, technical training, and professional development initiatives that set our associates up for success from day one and beyond.
What You'll Do
Facilitate & Deliver Excellence
Lead Talent Management Programs and onboarding training for all Ashley associates
Conduct technical training for non-production, production, supervisory associates, and managers
Deliver instruction using various teaching methods in classroom and online settings, potentially across different shifts
Apply adult learning theories to create engaging, effective learning experiences
Assess & Improve
Create, implement, and interpret Reaction Surveys for onboarding and technical training programs
Evaluate training effectiveness through written, verbal, competency demonstrations, and hands-on assessments
Analyze feedback to improve engagement and retention within Talent Management Programs
Compile evaluation data and make recommendations for improvements in delivery, materials, and format
Partner & Collaborate
Work closely with local business leadership and HR to identify location-specific learning requirements
Adapt training offerings based on business needs and communicate resource requirements to senior management
Maintain ongoing communication with Industry 4.0 and Leadership & Professional Development teams
Provide real-time feedback to learning experience designers and program owners
Support & Follow Through
Follow up with new employees to ensure they receive necessary training and ongoing support
Answer questions and provide guidance throughout the learning journey
Assist with Industry 4.0 and Leadership and Professional Development programs as needed
Manage Operations
Ensure all course and program supplies are available and ready
Direct room setup and confirm individual materials are onsite
Handle classroom management including attendance tracking, guest presenter coordination, and lunch/snack arrangements
Monitor costs, schedule classes, set up systems and equipment, and coordinate enrollment
Assist HR Admins with administrative support
Drive Continuous Improvement
Identify and participate in continuous improvement opportunities within delivered programs
Maintain professional knowledge and required training certifications
Stay current with instructional technology and delivery methods
Support Ashley's overall goals and objectives through ongoing professional development
