Ashley Furniture, one of the top Mattress and Furniture retailers in North America, has an immediate opening for a Retail Sales Associate. The ideal candidate is responsible for generating sales via superior customer service and excellent product knowledge. In order to be successful in this role, candidates must have prior demonstrated sales experience and/or sales ability.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Determine needs and advise customers on their purchases.
• Demonstrate a high level of product knowledge and knowledge of competitive offerings in the market.
• Demonstrate effective closing skills.
• Accurately enter information in the point of sale system.
• Follow up with customers after the sale and track orders.
• Helping to maintain a clean, orderly working environment.
• Other duties as assigned, essential or otherwise.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year proven sales experience or sales-related customer service.
• Basic computer skills.
• Cheerful, friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work retail hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language.
