Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting furniture pieces that meet their needs and style preferences.
- Demonstrate furniture features through engaging product demos, highlighting quality, materials, and design details.
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stocking practices to maximize sales potential.
- Process sales transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with accuracy.
- Upsell complementary products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase store revenue.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments, ensuring clear communication at all times.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting periodic stock checks to ensure product availability.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in furniture or home goods environments.
- Be able to work Saturdays
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions.
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities that support team collaboration.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting moderate loads, and organizing merchandise.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques, stock management, and upselling strategies.
