About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser to help bring our Ashley Furniture showroom to life. This is an entry-level design opportunity for someone with a passion for interior design, fashion, home furnishings, and creating inspiring spaces.

You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining visually compelling showroom displays that showcase our products, enhance the guest experience, and support sales. You’ll work hands-on with furniture, fixtures, displays, and merchandising standards while partnering with the store team to maintain a consistent and engaging presentation.

What You’ll Do

• Create and maintain visually compelling showroom displays that showcase furniture and home furnishings

• Execute merchandising displays, floor sets, and planograms according to company visual standards

• Partner with Material Handlers and store team members to build, move, and set furniture, fixtures, and display elements

• Ensure showroom presentations are maintained consistently and remain visually appealing

• Use creativity and design skills to create inviting spaces that inspire customers

• Follow corporate visual merchandising standards, guidelines, and policies

• Work collaboratively with team members to support a consistent 5-Star Guest Experience

• Assist with training new team members on visual standards, merchandising, and display expectations

• Identify opportunities to improve showroom presentation and solve visual merchandising challenges

• Assist with administrative tasks and other department responsibilities as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of retail, visual merchandising, home furnishings, or related experience preferred

• Candidates with a strong creative portfolio or demonstrated flair for design are encouraged to apply

• Passion for interior design, fashion, home furnishings, or visual presentation

• Strong creative ability and an eye for detail

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing priorities

• Ability to work within established visual standards while bringing creativity to the presentation

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Comfortable working in a hands-on retail environment

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on position requiring fine manipulation of hands and fingers, as well as a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday. The position requires the ability to push, lift, and carry merchandise and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds.

The position also requires bending and twisting, reaching and grasping, and safely operating ladders and basic hand tools such as hammers and screwdrivers. The role requires strong eye-hand coordination and the ability to work with both hands as needed throughout the workday.
