Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for providing exceptional daily care for all dog and cat guests while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility. The ideal candidate enjoys working with animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable performing physically demanding work both indoors and outdoors.
Schedule Requirements
- Must be available to work rotating weekends.
- Must be available to work holidays, as pet care is provided 365 days a year.
- Flexible availability is preferred.
Responsibilites:
- Feed and medicate pets according to individual instructions
- Take dogs outside for regular potty breaks
- Supervise group & individual playtime, nature walks and seasonal swimming
- Clean & sanitize kennel suites, play yards and other facility areas throughout the day
- Wash food & water dishes; maintain laundry
- Clean & sanitize cat room including condos and litter boxes
Qualifications:
- Genuine love for animals & commitment to their care and well-being
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions including heat, cold and rain
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Hours for the position:
Monday through Friday 7:45 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:15 PM to 6 PM
Saturday & Sunday 7:45 AM to 12:30 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM.
Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
