The ADS Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for all the Human Resources within a given functional area of the company. The HR Manager will maintain and improve all aspects of the employees in their area by providing Human Resources services to management as well as employees. Additionally, this position will develop and enforce company policies and procedures, resolve employee relations issues and problems, oversee worker’s compensation and leave management and coordinate the performance management process. The HR Manager must maintain the measurements to demonstrate continuous improvement in the value of the employees.

  • Maintain, analyze, and improve Human Resource measurements pertaining to all employees and supervisors working within their area of responsibility. Measurements would include: turnover, hiring, attendance, training, workers compensation and leave management. Analyze and take action to continuously improve measurements. Participate in and lead continuous improvement efforts
  • Assist with the hiring process by participating in recruiting activities and performing interviews to fill available positions for the specified functional area; source qualified candidates, determine advertising methods, maintain recruiting website, and attend job fairs and other recruiting events
  • Develop, implement and enforce company policies, processes, and procedures. Maintain system to document changes to company policy manual and handbooks
  • Responsible for overseeing the administrations of workers’ compensation and Leave administration, ensuring compliance with a local, state and federal laws
  • Assist supervisors with performance management issues by making recommendations for corrective action. Assist with the administration of corrective action
  • Coordinate the performance management process; identify and conduct training programs to add value to the employees in the workplace
  • Participate in and lead continuous improvement events
  • Act as a liaison to staffing companies, employment agencies and college placement offices
  • Oversee the New Employee Orientation process for all Driver Ambassadors
  • Conduct investigations to ensure all facts and information of conflicting situations, accidents, and employee relation meetings are gathered, documented, and assessed.
  • Recommend action to be taken based on policy and procedure
  • Assist area mangers and supervisors in improving employee relations by communicating changes and supporting supervisors with training and counseling when necessary
  • Assess employee and supervisory training needs. Develop and deliver training procedures. Particiapte in functional area’s departmental team meetings and assist in presenting training to employees and supervisors
  • Oversee the process of semi-annual employee performance review for area of operations. Ensure reviews are affair and all information is appropriate.
  • Develop, coordinate, and participate in employee recognition events and activities
  • Ensure all appropriate steps are completed to develop accurate job descriptions and conduct wage evaluations. Conduct wage evaluation meetings and ensure all steps are taken to accurately update the appropriate individuals of results
  • Assist the Training and Development Manager with developing and delivering orientation, training, and follow-up for new and existing employees
  • Make employment decisions and/or recommendations on hiring, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, pay adjustments, etc.
  • Coordinate and manage the work of employees by directing members of the team to meet the area’s goals. Audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to
  • Manage employee performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring and administering performance reviews. Recommend, plan and/or implement employee training and skill development activities
  • Audit, maintain and ensure employee time-keeping and absentee records are accurate
  • Communicate company and departmental issues and goals and facilitate employee growth and development through weekly team meetings, regular individual employee meetings, coaching, training, and company-offered learning opportunities
  • Manage resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods and materials
  • Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions

Compensation: Salary Rate: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
