Ashley HomeStores of SW Virginia is searching for a highly motivated and sales driven leader for the role of Store Manager. As the #1 furniture and mattress retailer in North America, we are experiencing tremendous growth in Virginia and are currently accepting applications for top-tier candidates in the Roanoke Valley.

We offer a competitive salary (based on experience) plus bonus incentives on meeting and exceeding store goals and expectations. The ideal Store Manager will possess the following qualities and qualifications:

• Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales process accordingly
• Provide on-the-ground support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new deals
• Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company's relationship with them
• Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics, provide daily reporting of daily sales success and communicate sales data to superiors
• Reach and exceed sales goals
• Review sales by product and series numbers to determine best sellers
• Hire, staff, and train new sales associates
• Maintain cleanliness of retail store and all products
• Track record of superior performance metrics
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Strong decision-making abilities
• Exhilarate high energy and ability to motivate a team daily
• Familiarity with excel, word, and basic processing systems
• Oversee all daily functions of managing a retail location
• Maintain an admirable reputation within the retail market
• Work directly with directors and upper management on continuous improvement
• Maintain an accurate inventory and participate in cycle counts
• Be immediately active in consumer complaints and resolutions
• Ability to merchandise and floor plan a retail showroom
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field and/or

2 years sales management/leadership sales experience (furniture experience preferred). Hired team member must possess a valid VA driver's license, pass a criminal background investigation, and drug screenings. Ashley HomeStore is an equal opportunity employer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000 per year plus 6% commission of their own delivered business.
