Summary
We are seeking a skilled Repair Technician to join our team at Ashley Furniture distribution team in Summerville, SC. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our products meet high-quality standards and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional value to our customers.
The ideal candidate will have over 20 years of combined experience in a variety of fields; construction, automotive repair, handyman, woodworking, and customer service.
Specific experience that is helpful; sheetrock repair, door frame install / repair, minor floor repair.
We will provide on-the-job furniture repair training for the ideal candidate of choice.
All tools provided and company vehicle for use on the job.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair furniture and bedding products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Utilize hand tools & power tools to perform repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns regarding product issues.
- Follow safety protocols while performing repairs.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Repair Technician or similar role.
- Proficient in using hand tools & power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful background check and drug screen is required for employment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 – 40.0 per week
