What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time PM Grill Cook - Eagles Nest position at Ashland University?
Job Description
- Prepare orders from in-house orders as well as Grubhub orders throughout the lunch and dinner service from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am Monday – Thursday, and 10:30 am – 7:00 pm Friday.
- Set up station for the day, prep any items needed for service.
- Maintain a clean and organized station throughout service.
- Oversee and mentor student employees providing training and guidance.
- Assist is scheduling shift for student workers.
- Monitor student performance and provide feedback to ensure high standards of service.
- Assist in monthly Inventory counting and monitor stock rotation and expiration to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with management to promote grill events, specials, and new menu items.
- Assist in creating and distributing promotional material, engaging with customers and gathering feedback.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory and stock management.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous grill cook experience preferred.
- Food Safety certified.
- Previous work in a high volume environment.
Physical Demands
- Area can be hot and fast paced.
- Bending, twisting, and standing for long periods.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. or more.
