The Department of Chemistry, Geology, and Physics invites applications for qualified adjunct instructors to begin teaching spring semester 2026. We are specifically seeking instructors to teach courses in general and organic chemistry. Courses have lecture and lab components. The courses will be taught in person only on our main campus in Ashland, Ohio. While adjunct faculty are part-time faculty, adjunct faculty members are eligible to participate in AU faculty development programs.
Required Qualifications
Please submit a letter of application, CV, list of references with contact information, and copies of all graduate school transcripts. Originals will be requested at time of hire.

Required Qualifications
- Master of Science or higher in Chemistry or related field with a minimum of eighteen (18) hours of graduate Chemistry coursework is required. Education and other master’s degrees are not acceptable substitutes.
- Teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
