Ashland Supportive Housing is hiring On-Call / Substitute Direct Support Professionals to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living full, meaningful lives with dignity and respect.
We are a small, team-oriented nonprofit operating four residential homes in Ashland, providing 24/7 support.
About the Role (Please Read Carefully)
This is an on-call / substitute position, not a set-schedule job.
- You will be contacted to pick up shifts as needed (call-outs, vacations, coverage gaps)
- Shifts are not guaranteed, but there are often opportunities for regular hours
- You may accept or decline shifts based on your availability
- Our substitute staff is required to work 40 hours per month
- Overnight availability is required
This role is ideal for students, people with another job, or anyone looking for flexible hours with meaningful work.

- Support residents with daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, hygiene)
