Overview
We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Ashland Springs Hotel in downtown Ashland. This energetic role offers the opportunity to maintain and troubleshoot a variety of manufacturing and hospitality-related equipment across our facilities. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, a proactive attitude, and a passion for ensuring operational excellence through hands-on maintenance and repair.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, HVAC systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics, precision measuring instruments, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Repair and maintain industrial machinery including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, high voltage equipment, and HVAC/R units.
- Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts safely to access hard-to-reach areas or perform repairs.
- Document maintenance activities accurately using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and asset history.
- Follow safety protocols related to high voltage systems, welding (including
welding), and industrial electrician practices. - Collaborate with team members to analyze equipment performance issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
Experience
- Two years of experience working in an hospitality or manufacturing facility with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and electrical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on knowledge of industrial maintenance procedures including hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding, schematics reading, and mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, precision measuring instruments, ammeters, ohmmeters, and analysis skills.
- Prior experience in field service roles or customer service environments is highly valued.
- Military background or industrial mechanic experience is considered an asset.
